Royal Experts Predict Prince Harry's Memoirs Will Criticize Prince Charles

Never mind that no one has read Prince Harry's forthcoming memoir yet or that it won't be released until late next year: the book is already causing serious drama. As royal expert Nick Bullen pointed out earlier this year, 2022 will be Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee, a year that will celebrate the longest reign in British history. Some might consider this timing disrespectful in that it could be interpreted as stepping on the Queen's toes or stealing the spotlight, Buren says.

Of course, this argument suggests that the memoir is critical of the royal family. But there are already some indications that Harry may not pull his punches, at least with regard to certain members of the firm.

According to Us Weekly, royal biographer and expert Andrew Morton said that Prince Charles in particular has reason to be nervous about a new memoir. 'If I were Prince Charles, I would be looking for a place to hide under a pile of coats,' he said.

"If I were Prince Charles," Morton said, "I would be looking for a pile of coats to hide under.

According to Morton, the rest of the royal family "has not yet received a copy and does not know what to expect," but Harry himself said in the press release announcing the book that he intends to write "with complete accuracy" - which could be taken to mean "with brutal honesty." He said he intends to do so.

"The one thing I can say about Harry is that if you ask him straight questions, he will give you straight answers," Morton told the publisher.

As we previously reported, Harry's book (as yet untitled) is expected to discuss his experiences growing up as a child royal, the loss of his mother Princess Diana, how it affected him, and why he left the royal business.

It is this last story that has led to speculation that Harry will be extremely honest about Prince Charles, and that Prince Charles may be the family member who made the (unconfirmed) "racist" remark to Princess Meghan.

Morton added that Harry had finished the book.
