Billie Eilish describes how "Funny and Sweet" Kate Middleton and Prince William were at the "Bond" premiere.
Meeting a handful of British royalty sounds pretty terrifying to me, but Billy Eilish (open in new tab) was not phased by the experience at all.
The artist, who appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live (open in new tab), chatted with Kate Middleton (open in new tab), Prince William (open in new tab), and Prince Charles ( Kimmel (open in new tab) asked Eilish if she had to learn a lot of the rules of dealing with the royal family, and she said learned, but admitted that they made her feel so comfortable that she didn't really follow them after all.
"I tried to follow [the rules] and I meant to, but they were so normal, like ...... didn't make me feel like, 'Oh, I'm too scared to talk to them.'" They were very questioning and ...... They just ...... complimented me and asked me a lot of questions. I can't complain, it was amazing."
I would have imagined that Eilish would only have talked to the royal family about her songs and the Bond film (open in new tab), but another completely unrelated topic, space travel, seems quite in line with the family's stance. Kimmel asked her if she had ever heard of William Shatner going into space and if she would like to go herself. To which she promptly replied, "Literally, I'd like to do something else." Literally, the same.
Prince William (open in new tab) agrees that he has better things to do than go to space right now. 'There is a space race going on at the moment, and we are seeing everybody trying to start space tourism. The Duke of Cambridge told the BBC (opens new tab).
