George Clooney helps Amal out of her costume on the red carpet.

When you wear the elaborate outfits that Hollywood's glitterati (opens in new tab) show off on the red carpet (opens in new tab), you are bound to suffer a wardrobe malfunction (opens in new tab) at some point. Amal Clooney (opens in new tab) is the latest victim of this obligatory rite of passage, but things could have been much worse than they were.

The human rights lawyer and her less famous husband George (open in new tab) attended the premiere of The Tender Bar at the BFI Film Festival in London. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but she was assisted by an attendant, who held on to her to prevent George from falling further.

Back on her own two feet, Amal was able to show off the glamour of her outfit. She was in the princess dress of her dreams, a floor-length strapless style with white sequins and a large feather boa. According to the Daily Mail (opens in new tab), the dress was custom made by 16Arlington. Amal paired the dress with striking diamond earrings by Musayev and two rings, including a gold one and a diamond wedding band-like one, also by Musayev.

Throughout the evening, they were as lovey-dovey as ever, cuddling up to each other with big smiles on their faces. I mean, look at them: [George and Amal Clooney got married in 2016 (opens in new tab) and have two children, twins Ella and Alexander (opens in new tab). 'My wife is a genius and my kids are brilliant, but it's my job to keep them quiet and put a little actor in them. 'When I hear my wife scream, I know I've succeeded. I put Nutella in her diaper and taught her to go upstairs, take her diaper off, and eat!"
