Britney Spears Receives Adorable Doberman Puppy from Sam Asgari

Things really seem to be looking up for Britney Spears after her conservatorship battle began to take a favorable turn! First, it was announced last month that Britney's alleged father, Jamie Spears, was suspended from his role (opens in new tab) by a judge because he was allegedly behind an "abusive" conservatorship agreement (opens in new tab) to control her finances. And on September 12, Britney got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Sam Asgari (after accidentally posting a photo (opens in new tab) of the ring he was about to use - oops). And now her new fiancé has given her a super cute Doberman puppy to start their new life together. Britney is looking forward to the future!

Asgari posted about the puppy on her Instagram, along with a carousel of puppy videos and photos, with the caption "Surprised my fiancé with a new addition to the family" on the photo:

The puppy's name is Portia, and Asgari posted below the cute puppy photo Asgari included the hashtag "#homesecurity" under the picture of the cute puppy. In the post, Asgari tells Spears (whose voice can be heard in the background of the first video) that "she is meant to love you unconditionally and be trained to protect you from any motherfucker who comes around you with bad intentions."

There was a bit of dog drama in Spears' life this year; according to People (opens in new tab), in August, Britney was under investigation for allegedly "beating" her former housekeeper. According to the magazine, sources close to Spears said the report was a "fabrication" and her lawyer refused to comment on the allegations. The charges were eventually dropped.

And while Britney's life now seems to be more on her own terms, the drama surrounding her conservatorship and finances is far from over. She is still under conservatorship, but an upcoming hearing scheduled for November 12 will reportedly discuss the possibility of ending this once and for all.
