Snoop Dogg invites Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Thanksgiving

When you become royalty, you have the opportunity to get to know people from all over the world whom you otherwise would not have known. This is the only way to explain how Snoop Dogg and Prince Harry became friends. But the fact that they found each other is, well, kinda beautiful.

According to Vanity Fair (opens in new tab), it all started in 2010 when Prince Harry called Snoop asking if he could perform at William's bachelor party. Snoop was unable to attend, but released a song called "Wet (open in new tab)" featuring Harry and Will's look-alikes in the video, accompanied by a tweet expressing his wish that the song be performed at the celebration.

Now, according to the rapper's interview with the Mirror (opens in new tab), the exchange was just the beginning of their friendship. 'Harry and William are my boys,' he said. As soon as I found out they were fans, I got in touch with them. (Side note: Who could have fully imagined William and Harry fanboying when Snoop reached out to them?)

The rapper also praised Harry and Meghan for moving to California amid international scrutiny. He said, "When Prince Harry (opens in new tab) didn't invite Trump to the wedding, I said he had big balls. 'Prince Harry and Meghan are living their lives the way they want to. They live their lives their way."

And to make sure he was serious, Snoop used the interview to extend a Thanksgiving invitation to the couple and their children. 'If they want to come to Thanksgiving dinner, there must be something special about it. They can come to Snoop's crib," he said, adding that he learned to cook from chef Gordon Ramsay.

If Harry and Meghan can't come this year, will we get their invitation?
