Kate Middleton and Prince William are seen eating hamburgers and french fries with their children

As a cultural marker, the pub lunch is more British than Big Ben. And since the Cambridges (open in new tab) are British, it is not surprising that they too will be attending the pub lunch.

But lo and behold, the family of five (open in new tab) was spotted doing just that this past weekend in Norfolk, home of Ammer Hall (open in new tab). Kate Middleton (opens in new tab), Prince William (opens in new tab), and their children (opens in new tab) George (opens in new tab), Charlotte (opens in new tab), and Louis (opens in new tab) enjoyed a traditional pub lunch, The Sun (opens in new tab) reported.

It is unclear if William was the only one who ordered a burger and "chips," aka fries, or if they all indulged in the classic dishes. What is clear is that the family enjoyed their most ordinary meal ever, and the news comes as no one expects the future King of England and his family to do anything out of the ordinary.

The witness added to the overall picture of normalcy and family contentment. The official told The Sun newspaper. 'It would have been easy to miss them and assume they were just another family. They laughed and chatted and obviously enjoyed each other's company."

The witness further described the scene. "They were eating outside. They were eating outside, probably because it was easier for the kids. There were no guards, and they made themselves at home like a normal family." Wills is a hamburger and chips. Their dog, a spaniel, was with them, and they all laughed. One particularly touching moment was when one of the kids got upset that their food was too hot. William very quickly reassured them and resolved the issue. It was wonderful to watch."

Cute, cute, cute.
