Harry and Meghan are reportedly recording a trip to New York for a Netflix documentary.
Last year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle signed a lucrative multi-year deal with Netflix (opens in new tab), but according to Page Six, one project yet to be announced is a "fly-on-the-wall" documentary about their lives According to Page Six, the couple reportedly took a videographer on a trip to New York City in September 2021, culminating in Saturday night's Global Citizen Live, to capture what could be material for the documentary.
According to the media outlet, the documentary was "one of the first things discussed with the Netflix chief" before signing the Netflix contract (opens in new tab) last fall. The scope of the documentary is unknown, but according to Page Six, Meghan and Harry were wearing microphones while traveling to Harlem and One World Trade Center. If true, the couple was likely filmed at the Global Citizen Live concert, where they appeared to discuss vaccine equity.
At the concert, Megan said: "I know it feels like this pandemic has been going on forever. We get it, there has been a lot of it and some people are just over it. But even if everyone gets over it, it will never end. There are many things we can do today, right now, to end this pandemic.
The documentary will include a time-traveling animated series featuring a young girl called Pearl, executive produced by Meghan herself, and a documentary about Invictus Games (opens in a new tab), a project close to Harry's heart, which the couple is just one of several projects they are working on with Netflix.
