Tom Felton collapses during a celebrity golf tournament.
Tom Felton, who played Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies (opens in new tab), collapsed on the golf course on September 23 and was taken to the hospital. [According to Golf Digest (open in new tab), Felton (open in new tab) was part of a Ryder Cup celebrity match at Whistling Straits Golf Course in Wisconsin with field hockey players Teemu Selanne and Mike Yurzione, He played alongside speed skater Dan Jansen and other sports pros.
In a statement, a representative of the PGA of America said, "While representing Europe in today's Ryder Cup Celebrity Match, actor and musician Tom Felton suffered a medical accident on the course. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Details are unknown."
Felton was conscious while being carted off the course, but there has been no update since.
It is unclear at what stage Felton collapsed, but according to Getty Images (opens in new tab), his team won the match.
Felton had recently posted a promo video (opens in new tab) of the Omega European Masters, which he attended, and a photo of him practicing his swing (opens in new tab). He captioned the photo "Whack."
The actor, musician, and avid sportsman had just celebrated his 34th birthday. He posted a black-and-white selfie on Instagram (opens in new tab) for the occasion and wrote, "33 years are over - it's been so much fun getting this far - yet, somehow, I still feel like the best is yet to come - thank you all for your love, support and sense of humor - good things Let's keep going - on to the next 33. xx" with the caption.
Commenting on the latest post dedicated to his brother (opens in new tab), the fan wrote, "Wishing you a speedy recovery x."
