Millennial Kate Middleton wears skinny jeans for her latest outing
Kate Middleton attended two official functions in Cumbria, northern England. In doing so, she broke the basic rule of Gen-Z (open in new tab) in fashion and wore her trusty skinny jeans (open in new tab). I feel much better now that I didn't throw mine away.
First, the Duchess of Cambridge (open in new tab) joined the air cadets at the Royal Air Force Windermere Adventure Training Center, where she tried abseiling (opposite of climbing (open in new tab)) and mountain biking. She wore black skinny jeans, black lace-up boots, olive green lightweight puffers, and a plain off-white sweater peeking out.
She then went on a boat trip with some of the "Windermere Children" who survived the Holocaust (opens in new tab) and were brought to Cambria in 1945. Middleton also spoke with relatives of the survivors, which helped her to understand how the Windermere Children built a thriving life in England after their stay in the Lake District.
At this point, the Duchess exchanged her outerwear for a less sporty belted tweed blazer.
Whatever one may think of the royal family, it's good to see them out on official occasions again.
In the near future, we may see more opportunities to see the Cambridges interacting with fascinating people like the Windermere Children.
