Kate Middleton and Prince William Will Not Have a Fourth Child, Experts Say

Kate Middleton and Prince William are so happy with their family of five (opens in new tab) that they probably won't have any more children, royal expert Nick Bullen told Us Weekly (opens in new tab).

"I think they feel they have a pretty perfect family," Bullen said. 'I think Kate always aspired to follow in her parents' footsteps and be a family of five. She fits that (now). And in my opinion, they will probably stop here."

Middleton has two siblings, an older sister, Pippa, and a younger brother, James (opens in new tab), who recently married his French partner, Alizee Thevenet (opens in new tab).

The Cambridges (opens in new tab) may also not have another child, as Middleton experienced "extreme morning sickness" while pregnant with her three children and had a "really tough time."

Instead, the Duke and Duchess will likely prioritize work for the time being. Says Brenn, "They're really focused on work for the next 12 months." 'They're both turning 40 next year; they're both turning 40 next year.' For them, I think the next 12 months are all work."

Experts previously told Us Weekly (opens in new tab) that the Cambridges want to avoid drama in the year ahead and keep the spotlight on the queen's 70th governing year. They are reportedly concerned about what decisions Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will make in the coming months (opens in new tab), and a proper reconciliation (opens in new tab) between the two families seems unlikely at this time (opens in new tab). Perhaps 2023?
