Kate Middleton and Prince William, the Sussex couple, are reportedly "curious" about the cover of Time.
Recently, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry graced the cover of Time magazine (opens in new tab) together and were named two of the 100 most influential people in the world. Unfortunately, not everyone was thrilled with this development - at least not according to royal expert Duncan Larcombe.
"Kate and William (opens in new tab) are in danger of being dragged into a transatlantic popularity contest," Larkom told OK!
"They would feel insecure because the cover and everything Harry and Meghan do always seems to reflect on them."
According to experts, Kate Middleton and Prince William (opens in new tab) tend to get anxious whenever major news related to the Sussex couple breaks. Says Larcombe, "William and Kate are concerned that absolutely everything that comes out of the US regarding Harry and Meghan (opens in new tab), especially Harry's all-confessional memoir (opens in new tab), will hit the shelves sometime next year." They have no control over the story."
The Cambridges are reportedly trying to avoid drama (opens in new tab) for the next few months.
Previous reports had suggested that the Cambridges and the Sussexes were getting closer (open in new tab), including talk of a joint Netflix project (open in new tab) and friendly zoom calls (open in new tab), but Finding Freedom author Omid Scobie is not so sure (opens in new tab).
"I think it's wishful thinking to see Meghan and Kate doing a Netflix project together or talking on the phone," Scobie told Entertainment Tonight (opens in new tab). 'I also read an article recently that said they were zooming around making cakes.'
For the time being, it sounds sadly like we can expect continued distance between the two families.
