Prince Charles "really wants to meet" Lilibet, royal expert says.

Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, daughter of Prince Harry (opens in new tab) and Meghan Markle (opens in new tab) and sister of Archie (opens in new tab), was born in California in June 2021 (opens in new tab). Since then, the baby has stayed put, and none of her relatives in England traveled across the pond to see her, partly because of the divisions that still exist between the various families (opens in new tab) after the Sussexes decided to step down from their royal duties (opens in new tab).

Nevertheless, according to one royal expert, this is not because of a lack of interest in Lili, at least not for her grandfather, the Prince of Wales. Nick Bullen told Us Weekly (opens in new tab), "I think Prince Charles (opens in new tab) really misses his granddaughter." Prince Charles is incredibly sad about everything that has happened. So the family will want to see each other."

"I'm sure they'll miss each other,"

Buren said.

Bullen suggested that the Queen's Platinum Jubilee (opens in new tab), which will mark 70 years on the throne (opens in new tab) in 2022, could be the perfect time for such a meeting to take place. 'If Harry and Meghan come back ...... because they need to show their support for Queen Elizabeth. 'It's a great moment for everyone to come together. And it's the Queen's moment, so everyone will have to behave well and perform well."

The reconciliation (opens in new tab) between the Sussexes and various UK-based royal families has been the subject of much speculation (opens in new tab) recently, and it is difficult to tell what their relationship is really like these days. Hopefully, they will visit the UK with Archie and Lili at some point, whether for the Jubilee or not, and they can all be a happy family for a while. Is that wishful thinking (opens in new tab)?
