Kanye West Unfollows Kim Kardashian on Instagram
Kanye West unfollowed his ex-wife Kim Kardashian on Instagram, but there appears to be no ill will between the two. (Opens in new tab), he now follows only 14 people, including Solange Knowles (opens in new tab). All of the users he follows have profile photos that match his own, a simple black circle named after the art on West's latest album, Donda (opens in new tab).
Kardashian, on the other hand, is not behaving in the slightest like a woman scorned. Her Met Gala look by Balenciaga (opens in new tab), which featured black fabric up to her face, was directly inspired by Donda. She shared a similar look (opens in new tab) for the same label in August with the #DONDA hashtag. She had also heavily promoted (open in new tab) the album just two weeks earlier.
This head-turning red carpet look also looked like an all-black version of the wedding dress and thick veil (opens in new tab) that Kardashian wore to Donda's listening party in August. The look also hid her face.
The exes' post-divorce relationship (opens in new tab) has been somewhat messy, further muddied by West's unfollowing of Kardashian on a platform so important to her.
On his already famous new album, the musician claimed that Kardashian is still in love with him (open in new tab) and that he cheated on her (open in new tab). Meanwhile, sources say that he actually wants his wife back (open in new tab), but she prioritizes their children above all else.
Kardashian has recently shown her ex some goodwill. In addition to promoting his music, she decided to keep "West" in her name (opens in new tab) and praised his influence on her when she appeared on a podcast (opens in new tab). It's as you like it.
