Original post As a longtime Britney fan, I am very excited that her situation is starting to turn around after years of unhappy headlines. First, her father, Jamie Spears, filed earlier this week to end his role as her conservator (opens in new tab), allegedly controlling every aspect of her life for over a decade, including her finances, career choices, and how often she sees her children, despite her continued comments (opens in new tab) that she wants to end that arrangement. This seems like great news! And now, at least according to an Instagram story deleted by Spears' boyfriend Sam Asgari, she may have another exciting surprise to look forward to in the near future.

On Friday, Asgari posted a photo of an engagement ring to her Instagram story, according to TMZ (opens in new tab). The ring is adorned with a large diamond, and the words "lion in the body" are engraved on the inside of the band. One dedicated online detective obtained a screenshot of the story before it was deleted: [but the post was quickly taken down and Asgari wrote, "The account was hacked and Photoshopped.

Damn, we thought this was going to be our announcement! But before we get too discouraged, according to TMZ, Asgari was spotted shopping for jewelry at Cartier in Beverly Hills earlier this month!

We don't know for sure, but things are about to get much better for Britney, and we can only hope that whatever happens next will make her really happy.
