Jennifer Lawrence is expecting a child with husband Cook Maloney.

Jennifer Lawrence is pregnant! Jennifer Lawrence is expecting her first child with husband Cook Maloney (opens in new tab), the actress' representative confirmed to People (opens in new tab). This is such wonderful news because celebrity pregnancies (opens in new tab) are so rare these days. Seriously, no one is having a child (opens in new tab). Not even Olivia Munn (opens in new tab). Not even Kylie Jenner (opens in new tab)? Forget it.

All kidding aside, I am super happy for Lawrence and Maloney and glad that despite her fame and his fame (he's a famous art dealer), they are able to maintain control of their private lives, which is their absolute right.

Their dating years, engagement, and wedding were the same; they reportedly first began dating in June 2018 (open in new tab), but their relationship was still not confirmed until January 2019. In February of the same year, news broke that they were engaged, and in September rumors circulated that they were already married, which was later denied; the two officially exchanged vows in October 2019.

To date, there are still only a few photos of the two together. Here's one from May 2021, which doesn't do much work:

Lawrence and Maloney also have yet to become red carpet official. Lawrence took a break from acting in 2018 (opens in new tab) to get young people involved in politics, but will return in 2020 for a Netflix project (opens in new tab) and several other films currently in various stages of production (opens in new tab).

Lawrence opened up about her married life in a podcast (opens in new tab) in 2020, despite being careful to protect her privacy. I'm married and we still have slumber parties once a week," she said, making it sound like her marriage was the best thing that ever existed.

Then she talked about their hobbies. 'Cook and I tried to play tennis the other day, but I have a temper. We took the court for an hour, we played for 15 minutes, I missed a ball, turned around, yelled a lot of swear words in front of a bunch of kids, and then threw my racket as hard as I could." So she's going to be a fun mom, then. Roger that.
