Simone Biles Celebrates One Month of "Most Brilliant American Gymnast"

Simone Biles is not a hater's voice. Gymnast Simone Biles took to Instagram (opens in new tab) to mark the one-month anniversary of her return from the Tokyo Olympics. While the Olympics was a bit of a rocky experience for the athlete, she couldn't be more proud of what she accomplished.

"I can't believe it's been a month already," Biles wrote. "It's obviously not how I planned the Olympics, but I wouldn't change a thing for this world ....... These Olympics do not erase my past accomplishments, nor do they define me as an athlete. I have overcome a lot in the last couple of years. Giving up is not a word in my vocabulary. My seven Olympic medals are tied for the most in history and I am the most decorated American gymnast, although some may define me as such.

Viola Davis (opens in new tab) said, "Wooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!" commented, and Beanie Feldstein cheered for Biles, writing, "You are the most amazing human being that has ever existed." Jordan Childs, also a member of the U.S. gymnastics team, wrote, "Sermon! Say it louder for those in the back."

Biles withdrew (open in new tab) from several Olympic competitions to prioritize his mental health (open in new tab), but still won silver and bronze medals, breaking records in the process.

Since Biles' return from Tokyo, she has enjoyed downtime with boyfriend Jonathan Owens (opens in new tab), gone on a dreamy Cabo vacation (opens in new tab) with friends (opens in new tab), made important political statements (opens in new tab) and even made an important political statement (opens in new tab). That's the queen.
