Harry and Meghan attempt to meet with the Queen

Princess Meghan and Harry have not spent much time with the royal family over the past year. Sure, Harry attended Prince Philip's funeral in April, but Princess Meghan has not visited the U.K. in public since before the pandemic. But that may soon change: according to The Sun, Harry and Meghan have reportedly offered to schedule a meeting with the Queen within the next few weeks.

Why the "olive branch" now, as The Sun's sources say? After all, between the feud rumors and the couple's bombshell (and Emmy-nominated) Oprah interview, it's hard to imagine things smoothing out between the family and Harry & Meghan: Harry and Meghan want to introduce Queen Elizabeth II to their daughter Lilibet, born in June. Queen Elizabeth II to their daughter Lilibet, who was born in June. Last month it was revealed that the couple wanted to have Lilibet christened at Windsor Castle and introduce her to her namesake grandmother. But now it appears they are actually working to make that happen. It would be a great opportunity for a family reunion! Everyone loves babies!

However, according to a source in The Sun, not everyone is overjoyed with the request:

"Harry and Meghan have made this offer, but many are shocked at how nervous they are. They may genuinely want to meet the Queen, but it is breathtaking to think of all the pain they have caused her this year."

The Queen is still very fond of Harry and wants to meet Lilibet and her brother Archie. Courtiers, however, are surprised by this move, especially by Princess Meghan.

We will update as more information comes in about the surprising family reunion and whether it will actually happen.
