Oprah May Bring Harry and Meghan to Emmys Date

Oprah is something of an Emmy veteran, with a whopping 19 Daytime and Primetime awards combined. And while we tend to remember her more for the projects she has worked on than the award shows she has attended, this year's Emmys may be especially noteworthy. Oprah's interview with Harry and Meghan last March (opens in new tab), which was full of shocking revelations (opens in new tab), has been nominated for Outstanding Host Nonfiction Series or Special.

According to the Guardian (opens in new tab), the organizers of the award contacted Harry and Meghan last week. However, according to the article, the Television Academy also issued a statement saying that nomination teams of three or more will be limited to four per nomination. Unfortunately, this means that not all nominees will be eligible for this year's awards."

In other words, with only four tickets, Oprah must decide whether to bring the people who interviewed her or those who worked on the production. The article suggests that these pandemic-related precautions will get Oprah a nasty ticket (as fictional Brits like to say), but that means she has to decide whether to bring Harry and Meghan, her loved ones, or the production crew This is because it means that If I were on Oprah's team (and if you're reading this, FYI, Oprah!) ), I would understand if she would take literal royalty over me.

We'll know by the time the Emmys air on September 19. Until then, just imagine what looks Princess Meghan will be sporting when she appears on the red carpet that evening.
