It has indeed been four years since Zendaya (open in new tab) and Tom Holland began to be suspected of being more than co-stars in the latest "Spider-Man" film.

In July 2021, rumors grew considerably when the two were photographed (open in new tab) kissing in a car in Los Angeles. Sure, some people might make out with a good friend or colleague from time to time (?), but the rumor was that the two had been having an affair for some time. At the time, she was also photographed with Zendaya's family.

Later that month, Zendaya said she felt "very close" to Holland and the rest of the Spider-Man cast (open in new tab), but of course this was not an admission of their rumored relationship. "[Have the happiest birthday, my MJ," Holland wrote, using Z's character's name. 'Call me when you wake up.

The Brits use the little kiss sparingly in a variety of situations, but when you stick it with a sweet nickname, dating rumors, and an adorable photo of the two, it's hard to see this as anything more than "grid official" confirmation of what we've suspected all along.

The photo in question is a mirror selfie of Holland in his Spiderman costume and Zendaya resting her head on his shoulder and smiling blissfully. The birthday girl commented on the post with a "call me now" along with a heart emoji. One enthusiastic fan commented, "DID THEY JUST CONFIRM IT AHHH."
