Royal Family May Be 'Worried' About Meghan Markle's Reunion With Prince Harry
There have been various reports recently indicating that UK-based royals are slowly trying to reconcile (open in new tab) with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who distanced themselves (open in new tab) from the royal family last year. For one royal commentator, however, reconciliation will not go so easily.
"There must have been some discussions and attempts at reconciliation over the course of the year," Jonathan Sacerdoti told Us Weekly (opens in new tab). (The other royals) are not aware that Meghan and Harry have been in contact with the press or ...... Because they must always be a little worried about what they are going to reveal in the new revised edition of Finding Freedom, or in Prince Harry's own book."
Regarding the sense of push and pull that the royal family imagines they are experiencing, Sacerdoti added: "I think it's a little bit of a mystery.
While it is possible that the royals may be holding back, progress seems to be being made with regard to healing the rift. Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton were recently reported (opens in new tab) to be "very close," and the Sussex and Cambridge families (opens in new tab) were also recently said to be "very close," with the four keeping in touch via video calls from either side of the Atlantic.
