Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Spend Second Anniversary with Takeout and Margaritas
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry spent their second wedding anniversary (opens in new tab) in May 2020 in an intimate way, after many drama-filled years. As reported in Town and Country (opens in new tab), we know a little more about their low-key second anniversary, which took place in isolation during their stay at Tyler Perry's home in California. This information comes from an updated edition of Finding Freedom (opens in new tab), written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, which includes a new epilogue with updated information about their lives since the book was published last year.
"Because of the ban on going out to restaurants, the couple had to get a little creative to celebrate their second anniversary at home in May and spend part of the day reflecting on 2018 with the many people who attended their wedding festivities, including the vendors who made their magical Windsor Castle ceremony We didn't have to," the authors stated.
"They ended the day with a Southern California favorite: a Mexican meal ordered from a popular local restaurant, washed down with margaritas (his alcoholic, hers non-alcoholic). As for gifts, they exchanged cotton goods, following tradition. (The royal family is just like us! insert joke here) Seriously, though, Mexican and margaritas seem like the perfect way to celebrate an isolated anniversary.
We already knew a little about their celebration and the fact that they both take their themed gifts very seriously. At the time, Us Weekly (opens in new tab) reported that on their second anniversary, Meghan also wrote a card, yay calligraphy skills (opens in new tab), and Harry gave her a bouquet and a ring, according to People (opens in new tab). 2019 On their first wedding anniversary, Meghan wrote up her wedding speech and had it framed. They celebrated another special gift, their son Archie, born on May 6, 2019.
Aside from continuing their public partnership with World Central Kitchen, not much is known about how the couple spent this 2021 anniversary. However, given that their daughter Lilibet was just born on June 4, it may have been a very low-key preparation for becoming parents again. Best Present
