The Duke and Duchess are just like us. According to one royal expert, Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Kate Middleton, and Prince William are doing their best to bond with each other after months of acrimony (open in new tab).

"I know the four of them talk to each other and they talk on Zoom (and FaceTime)," Stewart Pierce recently told Us Weekly (opens in new tab)." They are very close to each other."

Experts say, "Their lens on the world is very individualized. And what is remarkable is that they all have complete respect (for each other), but this lens is different."

The relationship between the two brothers and their wives has not been easy since the Sussexes decided to step down from royal duties (opening with a new tab) in early 2020, but recent reports paint a more harmonious picture. Markle and Middleton were said to be (open in new tab) "very close" and were even rumored to be considering (open in new tab) working on a joint Netflix project.

Meanwhile, according to royal biographer Robert Lacey, the two princes were taking "baby steps" toward improving their relationship as of July. Lacey commented at the time (open in new tab) on Prince Harry's attendance in England at the unveiling of a statue of his mother, Princess Diana, at Kensington Palace, saying, "Obviously, it's not going to be a full reconciliation, but it's the first baby step toward some sort of new arrangement in the future."

So while it's hard to imagine the four royals yelling "mute it" and "turn off the mic, Virus" at their laptop screens, it's nice to hear they are making progress.
