Kate Middleton makes a common mistake while shoe shopping with Prince George and Princess Charlotte
Kate Middleton (opens in new tab) usually seems like a supermom, but in fact the Duchess of Cambridge (opens in new tab) has been super open about her own parenting struggles for years. Some of those struggles are serious and big-picture, while others are mundane day-to-day hurdles that mothers around the world deal with every day. If you need a little time to center yourself, remembering that even royalty has moments like, "Wow, how did I forget to do this?" then you've tapped into the right article.
According to a recent report in the Mirror (opens in new tab), Kate made a common mother's mistake when she took her oldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, to buy school shoes.
Apparently, Kate took George and Charlotte to get their school shoes fitted, but she was not aware of the hundreds (tens of millions?) of dollars involved. She forgot to bring socks for the kids to wear during the fitting.
A source told "Hello! told "Hello!" that when George and Charlotte arrived at Peter Jones department store in London with Kate to buy school shoes, they were wearing seasonally appropriate sandals. That department store watched Kate's back (and the backs of many other parents and sometimes adults struggling to take care of themselves) and lent the young royals socks.
George and Charlotte are currently still on summer break, but both will return to Thomas Battersea in London once the school year begins in the fall.
