Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's relationship with the Queen is "as strong as ever," says royal biographer

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (opens in new tab) are still very close to Queen Elizabeth II, in case you were wondering.

In a new interview with Good Morning America (opens in new tab), royal biographer and correspondent Omid Scobie offered some insight into the current state of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's relationship with the Queen.

Scobie, who co-authored the royal biography Finding Freedom (opens in new tab) with Caroline Durand, spoke with sources close to Harry and Meghan (opens in new tab) while writing a new epilogue for the book's paperback edition, which will be released later this month. The Sussex source said she spoke to a source close to Harry and Meghan (opens in new tab) while writing the new epilogue, which will appear in the book's paperback edition later this month. The Sussex source made it clear that the couple have felt disappointment with the institution of the monarchy, but that the disappointment has never extended to the Queen herself.

"As for their relationship with the Queen, it is as strong as ever, they have nothing but love for her," he claimed during a GMA appearance.

Scobie added that those who are still skeptical about the situation between the Queen and the Sussexes can consider the couple's newborn daughter, Rivette Diana (opens in new tab), living proof that things are great.

"Of course, we saw them naming their daughter after the queen's nickname, so you can really get a sense of that close relationship, and it's great to be able to put that right today," he explained.

Well, there you have it.
