As the drama with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continues to be reported, the Queen is reportedly in the midst of a "court battle."

Queen Elizabeth (open in new tab) is reportedly taking Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's (open in new tab) ongoing conflict with her office very seriously.

The Sun (opens in new tab) reports that the Queen is "frustrated by the repeated attacks" from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex (opens in new tab) and is taking steps in case the issue ends up dragging the royal family to court.

"The royal official told the magazine that "enough is enough" from the top, adding that a senior court aide is in contact with a defamation expert in case such a situation should arise in the future.

According to Sun's sources, the Queen and the rest of the royal family have reached their breaking point.

"There is a limit to how much is acceptable, and the Queen and the royal family can only push it so far. They have lawyers on retainer." Harry and Meghan will be informed that repeated attacks will not be tolerated."

Apparently the biggest worry from the royal family's point of view is Harry's memoir, which is scheduled for release next year. The royal family is reportedly even considering sending a formal legal warning to the book's publisher, Penguin Random House.

"The royal legal team is talking to libel and privacy experts," the source explained. 'If someone is named in a book and accused of something directly, it could be defamatory and could infringe on their right to a private family life. It would be ironic if Harry and Meghan were sued for invasion of privacy. The lawyers could contact the book's publisher and ask for the right to advance warning of its contents and the right to a response. There is concern that the American public will be deceived by what Harry and Meghan say."
