Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost give birth to a baby boy.
August 18, 2021, update: It escalated quickly. Just two days after Colin Jost broke the news that Scarlett Johansson was pregnant, he took to Instagram to report that he was having a boy. 'Ok ok, we have a baby. We love him so much." And, like a comedian, Jost also joked that all questions should be directed to his "Weekend Update" co-star Michael Che. Congrats to the new parents and welcome to the world of Cosmo.
Scarlett Johansson's husband, Colin Jost, admitted that they are expecting a child. Us Weekly (opens in new tab) reported, "We're having a baby. 'It's exciting. According to the magazine, Johansson skipped all in-person interviews for her highly anticipated film "Black Widow," which led people to believe she might be pregnant.
Johansson, a Saturday Night Live comedian, and Jost began dating in 2017 and married in October 2020, according to Insider (opens in new tab). The "Black Widow" star described her "very pandemic wedding" during an appearance on "Late Night With Seth Meyers" (opens in new tab)." It was a little stressful," she said, continuing to explain that Jost has many older members of his family who were able to attend. 'The Jost family will live forever! They're going to live a long time!"
For this reason, "Obviously, we wanted to take every precaution ...... precautions as much as possible," Johansson continued. They even had custom masks made that read "Josts 2021," a far cry from M&Ms custom masks, but we're glad it worked out.
This is Johansson and Jost's first baby, but the actress already has a daughter, Rose, with ex-husband Roman Dauriac (whom she married in a secret ceremony (open in new tab). Rose was born in 2014 (opens in new tab), and Johansson and Dauriac separated in 2017, according to the Daily Mail (opens in new tab).
"My daughter loves fairy tale stuff," Johansson told USA Today (opens in new tab) in 2019. 'She loves girl stuff, princess stuff. And I love them too! I love the old Disney princesses. The princesses of today are so much more empowered than the old classic princesses. But I can see how the dynamism of those classic fairy tales can affect the way children think about male/female roles in society. It's very black and white."
