Simone Biles posts on Instagram about being bitten by a German Shepherd
Simone Biles (open in new tab) has shared a rather scary personal story.
The 24-year-old Olympic gymnast shared on her Instagram Story on Friday about an intense encounter she recently had with a German Shepherd. Biles revealed that she was recently bitten by a German Shepherd who, in her words, "NOT TODAY."
Biles shared a video (opens in new tab) with her followers that gives an up-close-and-personal look at her injuries, including a rather large cut on her index finger and several smaller scrapes and cuts.
"German Shepherds don't play," she wrote in large type on the video, clearly indicating to viewers what had happened.
She did not say much about the ordeal, but made it clear that she has a lot of experience with dogs, especially German Shepherds, and that this incident was not typical of her experience with the breed.
"I've grown up with German Shepherds all my life and I've never been bitten. This dog on the farm just said, 'Not today.'
Ultimately, Biles accepted the situation and seemed unfazed by the injury. She added at the end of her caption, "LOL I went to the doctor to get a tetanus shot."
