Princess Eugenie (opens in new tab), Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's (opens in new tab) closest ally within the royal family, may play a pivotal role in mending relations with other members of the royal family.

The Sun (opens in new tab) reports that Eugenie is a "peacekeeper" between the Sussex family and the rest of the royal family. As far as claims about the royal family go, this is quite intuitive

since Eugenie's strong ties to Harry and Meghan are well known.

The new report does not elaborate much on the specific ways in which Eugenie might reunite Harry and Meghan (open in new tab) with the rest of the royal family, other than to reiterate some of the evidence of how close the two are.

"Eugenie knows them better than anyone else in the royal family in a way," one royal source told The Telegraph (opens in new tab). 'She has been there from the beginning.'

By "been there from the beginning," of course, he meant the beginning of Harry and Meghan's relationship (Meghan has said she knew Eugenie before she met Harry, and there are longstanding rumors that it was Eugenie who introduced Harry and Meghan).

Adding to their long association is of course the fact that Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank have been staying at Harry and Meghan's English home, Frogmore Cottage, since shortly before they welcomed their son August (opens in new tab). Harry has stayed at Frogmore Cottage with Eugenie and Jack on two recent trips back to England (opens in new tab).

Eugenie's famously close relationship with the Queen, coupled with her continued closeness to Harry and Meghan (open in new tab), has led to speculation that she may be the catalyst to bring the Sussex family back into the royal fold. Since we are in favor of anything that brings harmony and happiness to the royal family, we hope that this report is true and that Eugenie is the best peacekeeper.
