Kendall Jenner Sued for Alleged Breach of Modeling Contract
Recently, Kendall Jenner has allegedly been ghosting major fashion brands. At least that's what Italian brand Liu Jo claimed in new court filings, accusing the company of failing to show up for Jenner's second photo shoot for an upcoming campaign, according to E! News (opens in new tab) The company is now, suing her for $1.8 million. The first shoot took place in 2019, while the second shoot was originally scheduled for March 2020, but had to be postponed due to COVID. Liu Jo claims that Jenner's team is no longer responding to "urgent requests or communications regarding logistics."
Jenner's management company flatly denied the allegations; in a statement to E! News, a company representative said, "This complaint is without merit. Society Management has continually provided Liu Jo with alternative dates and locations on behalf of Ms. Kendall Jenner to fulfill contracts that were forced to be postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak."
The company also claims that it is "not aware that Liu Jo has been involved in the concert.
Liu Jo has already been paid $1.35 million of the total $1.5 million plus 20% service fee Jenner owes for the two photo shoots, and her alleged failure to honor her contract has forced the campaign to scramble to replace her Jenner herself did not comment. Jenner herself has not commented.
The 25-year-old model recently appeared in a cover story (opens in new tab) for Vogue Spain and shared her beauty secrets (opens in new tab) with the magazine.
