Britney Spears Says She Was Never Allowed to Have an iPad Before
Over the past few months, many heartbreaking details (opens in new tab) have emerged about Britney Spears' conservatorship. In the latest in a long series (opens in new tab), the pop star recently shared on Instagram (opens in new tab) that she has finally been allowed to own an iPad.
In the short video, Spears films herself on her new tablet. 'Hey guys, good news! I got my first iPad today. I came in the kitchen and there was something I ordered and it was a brand new iPad! The kids have them, but I've never had one! I've always had a little cell phone. But now this iPad is in my hands. I am so excited, even as I am talking like this, I feel like my life is going to change. Upside, YES!" This is in response to Spears' move to end conservatorship.
According to Buzzfeed News, her new attorney, Matthew Rosengart, has just filed an application (opens in new tab) to hold Spears' next court hearing (currently scheduled for September 29) sooner. In the application, Rosengart claims that Jamie Spears wanted to prevent his daughter from going on a trip to Hawaii in July. The daughter was eventually allowed to go to Hawaii, but Rosengart cites the case as evidence that Spears' father should be removed as conservator without delay. The attorney had previously stated (open in new tab) that he would "aggressively and expeditiously file a motion to dismiss unless Jamie Spears first resigns."
