Kate Middleton and Prince William take a sneak trip to Cornwall with their children
Travel restrictions in the United Kingdom have made summer vacations to far-flung destinations difficult this year, but Kate Middleton and Prince William saw this as nothing more than a wonderful opportunity to explore beautiful destinations close to home. Hello! (opens in new tab) revealed that the royal couple reportedly took George, Charlotte, and Louis on a low-key family trip to the Isles of Scilly in Cornwall. The trip probably served as a consolation for Prince George, as England lost the Euro final while he was in attendance (very meme-worthy).
Hello! explains that the Cambridges are regular visitors to the Isles of Scilly, visiting Tresco in 2020 and St. Maarten (open in new tab) in 2016. Check them out sitting on the boat then:
And here they are sharing a laugh:
The Isles of Scilly (open in new tab) have picturesque scenery and blue waters that you would never guess are off the coast of England. Known as a great place for a family vacation (open in new tab), it is also famous for its fresh seafood, local produce (open in new tab), and thriving arts scene (open in new tab).
It should come as no surprise that Britain's glitterati (open in new tab) visit the islands every summer - as the Mirror (open in new tab) points out, especially fans of Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden. The Cornwall area also attracts the rich and famous, including Prince Charles (open in new tab), Camilla Parker-Bowles, Kate Winslet (open in new tab), and Teri Hatcher. book BRB, Airbnb.
