Prince William gets "the worst of it" in Prince Harry's memoir, royal expert says
Prince Harry's upcoming memoir (opens in new tab) may have the potential to blow up the royal family as we know it (opens in new tab), at least according to some royal experts.
In a new interview with GB News, royal expert and biographer Ingrid Sward said that Harry's brother, Prince William (opens in new tab), is the member of the royal family who will be hurt the most by the bombshell Harry might drop in the book.
"There is a feud between William and Harry, basically because if Harry says something inappropriate about the monarchy, it is about William's future.
"It's not Harry's future; Harry is retired now, but it's William's future. She thinks William will be the biggest loser if Harry is highly critical of the royal family in the book, but Seward says Harry's father, Prince Charles (open in new tab), also stands to be hurt by the memoir.
"Of course, everyone forgets that Prince Charles has been very tight-lipped on the matter.
For his part, Harry does not say much about what tone the memoir will take, only that it will be "an accurate, complete, and true firsthand account of [his] life."
"I am writing this not as the prince I was born to be, but as the man I became," he said in a statement (opens in new tab) when the book was released. 'I have worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively. By telling my story, I hope to help show that no matter where we come from, with our peaks and valleys, our mistakes and lessons learned, we have more in common than we think. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share what I have learned in my life so far, and I am excited that you will be able to read a raw record of my life that is accurate and completely true.
