The Queen appeared on a video call wearing a brooch associated with Princess Diana.
This week, Queen Elizabeth II (opens in new tab) wore special accessories to the video call.
On Friday, the Queen joined four young leaders supported by the Queen's Commonwealth Trust (opens in new tab) (Safat Ahmed Zahir of the Maldives, Jubilante Cutting of Guyana, Jean-Damour Muthoni of Rwanda, and Brad Gajar of the UK ) in a virtual meeting to discuss "their remarkable work" and "the importance of teamwork in delivering important work in the Commonwealth community," Buckingham Palace posted on Instagram about the call.
The Queen (opens in new tab) chose an important accessory to wear for the important call; as People (opens in new tab) reports, in a video shared on the official Instagram account of the Royal Family, she appears to be wearing one of the Victoria Bow Brooches. The Victoria brooch was inherited from Queen Victoria and was made in the late 1800s.
