Who is Chase, the professional football player in Too Hot to Handle?
"My libido is 100 percent, through the roof, 100/10," is how Chase DeMoore introduces himself. I'm a professional football player," he introduces himself to the rest of the "Too Hot to Handle" Season 2 cast. (Opens in new tab) One of this season's standout cast members, 24-year-old Arizona native DeMoore describes himself as an "alpha male," but his softer side is immediately apparent, especially when it comes to blonde beauty Carly Lawrence (opens in new tab), with whom he immediately connects.
Like the rest of the Too Hot to Handle cast, DeMoore has a big mouth. He laughs in his introductory video, "I'm tall, dark, handsome, muscular, and smart, plus being a professional football player helps," as evidenced by the 1.1 million followers on TikTok who know and love him as King Chase. (Opens in new tab) As the season progresses, we peel back the layers of DeMoore and get to know him more intimately (and not just in the sense you might think). So let's take a closer look.
I know. This was the first thing I googled too. Chase is not in the NFL, but plays for a Spring League team called the Houston Linemen. The Spring League, strange as it may seem (and it did to me, too; I'm not sure if it's a team that's in the NFL or the Houston Linemen, but I'm not sure. I know as much about American football as Carly does), but it calls itself "the premier professional football development league in the United States and abroad." So I guess it's kind of a Plan B for players who can't make it into the NFL.
That doesn't mean he isn't a good player. Speaking of DeMoor's football career, he played for Siskiyous University and Central Washington University, played in college bowl games, played in the IFL (Indoor Football League) and CFL (Canadian Football League), and in the first episode, he told Curley, "I played in Canada. That's why he tells her that he is playing. Also, his team won the NFL 2021 flag football championship. Personally not so much . I didn't know there were variants of football, but he has the most blocked kicks in the NCAA in 2018, so he must be good.
Although he is from Seattle, Washington on the show, Chase lives in Arizona, and according to his NFL Draft stats (open in new tab), he stands 6'5 and weighs 250 pounds. He also has very large hands and feet, a fact he points out to the rest of the cast in episode one. Emily laughs, "Those feet don't lie, baby."
Even before joining the resort, he had gained a large following on TikTok. She says, "I started Catch, and that's where I built my social media persona. I'm known as the 'best hand on TikTok,'" he told Arizona Central. ("It opens in a new tab.) I can play acrobatic catch with gymnastics and football, and the fun stuff I was doing at COVID changed my life."
.
On a more serious note, Chase is all about family. He shared a touching story from his childhood on NFL Draft Diamonds: "I lost my father when I was 10 years old and grew up being abused by my mother and her husband. I was fortunate enough to understand that this was a blessing in my life and to choose that this was not the way I wanted to live. I feel like my father is watching over me and I will do whatever it takes to make him proud."
He said in the same interview that his grandfather was his biggest influence. After my grandfather passed away, he promised me that he would do whatever it took to be successful, that he would take care of my family. And I intend to keep that promise. I follow my grandfather's example because he is the person I want to be someday."
Since the show began airing, DeMoore has been active on social media, responding to fans. When asked about his favorite moment, he replied on Twitter: "My face when Cam gets sent to the private suite. " He also posted a video of the moment (very funny):
He also made out on social media with Carly Lawrence, who became a couple during the retreat. I'm on my way to pick you up for the next episode. Carly replied: "I wrote .
And he is, of course, very active on TikTok, having amassed over 200,000 followers since the show began airing.
When he learned that he was not on "Party Paradise," he told the Arizona Central: "I'm not going to lie. When I found out I was on this show and was tricked into this retreat, I wasn't the happiest. I said, 'Let me call (producer) Katie right now. I feel so lied to and betrayed."
[7But he says he really benefited from it. He said, "The people who went on that retreat and the people who left are two different people.
"Honestly, I think the most valuable thing I got out of it was the ability to listen to other people's stories. I think that's what I was missing. The other workshop was about letting go of masculinity. I think that was another pivotal point in my growth at the retreat."He remains close with his fellow cast members. Me and Marvin have a great relationship. He's my best friend.
Spoiler alert. Chase and Carly broke up halfway through the resort and became a couple with someone else, but Chase has hinted that he and Carly have become close again over the past six months (filming ended in December 2020)." Me and Carly have a really great relationship to this day. She calls me every day. We talk all the time. She actually wants to come out here to Arizona and hang out with us," he told Arizona Central.
He added: "I feel like I'd rather go back and try once or twice again to see if I can work something out with Carly on the show than go for Tabitha." That is not to say that there is nothing in the future for Carly and I, or for Tabitha and me.
Fans learned more about Chase's condition after the shoot when the reunion version of Too Hot to Handle, Extra Hot, was released on YouTube on July 5. First, Melinda revealed that Chase and Marvin took a trip to Mexico together. Chase went with Marvin until he learned that Marvin had ghosted Melinda for the same trip.
We later learn that there is no bad blood between Chase and Joey, the man Carly started dating on the show after she and Carly broke up. Chase said that he, Joey, and Carly spent New Year's together.
And what about Chase and Tabitha? Neither of them can articulate what is going on, but it appears that something is going on. Tabitha revealed that after the shoot, Chase tried very hard to woo her, sending her flowers, chocolates, and, to her surprise, real love letters. But apparently he never said a word. Tabitha claimed that Chase promised to book a flight to visit her, but he never did. Tabitha claimed that Chase promised to book a flight to visit her, but he did not follow through. The athlete said that Tabitha was supposed to join him on New Year's, but she did not fly to Dubai to see her boyfriend. However, he said that the two are good friends and keep in touch as they go back and forth. Lana, what will we do with these two?
