Rihanna Embodies 1920s Glamour at Dinner in New York
Here you go, dear readers. While Rihanna has been out of the public eye for a while, we've started a blog on Rihanna's style, with coverage of other celebrities. On Tuesday, she headed to dinner at Carbone in New York City to show off her glamorous 1920s look.
As reported by Vogue magazine (opens in new tab), Rihanna wore an oversized lace teddy by Vaquera; for the 20s vibe, she layered a gold chain necklace with several thigh-high strings of pearls, gold hoop earrings, a gold chain necklace, and layered cuff bracelets to accessorize.
Rihanna wore black patent Carolyne pumps by Manolo Blahnik, according to style tracker @hausofrihanna (opens in new tab). And she carried a particularly unusual bag: a monogrammed black velvet bag from Gucci's Fall 1997 collection (yes, Tom Ford-era Gucci).
There's a seriously covetable vintage in Rihanna's closet: last month, she enjoyed a date with boyfriend Asap Rocky (open in new tab) at Barcade in New York City. The bubblegum pink Emma Brewin faux fur hat and python-print Tom Ford heels were envy-inducing enough, but the star of the look was a gorgeous petal pink vintage Dior slip dress. Spend the day fantasizing about going vintage shopping with Rihanna. We can dream, can't we?
