Jennifer Lopez, "Super Happy": "Best Time of My Life"
Jennifer Lopez released her new song "Cambia El Paso" with Lau Alejandro and spoke with Zane Lowe of Apple Music on the day of its release. In the interview, J.Lo said she was enjoying "the best time of my life."
"I'm so happy. I know people are always wondering. How are you? Are you okay? That's it. It doesn't get any better than this," Lopez said, reports People (opens in new tab).
"People who care about me, and I care about them so much, I want them to know that I really did get to a great place on my own. 'And I think that once you get to that place, you're going to see amazing things happen in your life that you never imagined ever again. That's why I'm there now. Does that amazing thing include a reunion with ex-lover Ben Affleck (opens in new tab)?
"I love all the love and all the, good wishes that are coming my way right now," Lopez said. 'And I just want everyone to know that this is the best time. It's the best time of my life."
Lopez said she got the inspiration to make "Cambia El Paso" during the filming of her upcoming movie "Shotgun Wedding" in the Dominican Republic. 'I guess I'm referring to my breakup with my ex-fiancee, Alex Rodriguez,' she said. 'I love my life right now. I love what I do. I love where I am. I love that I am continuing to evolve.
"When I feel really good, I feel like I can really make the best music," Lopez continued.
"When I got back from the Dominican Republic, I immediately called a friend of mine and said I wanted to go into the studio."
Appearing on SiriusXM's "Pitbull's Globalization" show last week, Lopez explained the meaning behind the new single, as reported by Harper's Bazaar (opens in new tab). 'The song is about change, and about not being afraid to take a step forward,' she said. It's about taking steps, moving forward, doing what you need to do. If something isn't working, whatever it is in your life, just move and dance."
