Marvin Anthony and Melinda Melrose were the winners of Turks and Caicos Islands. Marvin was named the winner of Season 2 of Too Hot to Handle (open in new tab), winning (open in new tab) $55,000 and his girlfriend Melinda, whom he dated while at the resort. Before winning, he told Melinda that although they were far apart (Melinda is based in New York and Marvin is based in Paris (open in new tab)), he wanted them to be girlfriends and make it work. They left the resort in bliss, but that was some time ago, in December 2020. So will Marvin and Melinda still be together in mid-2021?

Up until the July 5 reunion show, we had received mixed messages from these two. Cam Holmes and Emily Miller (open in new tab), the other major couple of season 2, confirmed that they are still together (they even talked about living together on the reunion show), but Marvin and Melinda remained tight-lipped and Marvin only said, "It's complicated." It wasn't. [At the July 5 reunion show, hosted by Chloe Veatch, Marvin and Melinda were first in the hot seat. Marvin said, "We were supposed to meet in Tulum, Mexico, but we had a fight and ended up not going."

Melinda corrected him: "Of course, Marvin and I argued, but he put on his big boy pants and still managed to come. But he canceled all of his flights the day he was supposed to come. I was angry. Then he went to Mexico a month later.

"For a long time we didn't talk. But now we talk and we are good friends."

"His favorite line," Melinda said."

"We'll see," Melinda said.

"We're not together anymore," said Marvin. I miss her."

But even before the reunion show, we hinted that things were not going well for the couple. In an interview with Capital FM (opens in new tab), Marvin said: "It's always been complicated with Melinda. But we've been apart for so long, I think we're about to find out. I was stranded in France, so we'll see what happens next."

Last week, however, Melinda shared evidence on her Instagram Story that the two had been talking on the phone for an hour, writing, "When the conversation is too good to hang up."

And when a follower asked if they were still together, Marvin replied:

I'm confused.

This is interesting. Melinda seems to have confirmed that she is romantically involved with Peter Vigilante, an original cast member of TikTok fame. See:

Even before these photos, fans had their suspicions: they dug deep into an Instagram story that showed Melinda sharing a drink with someone and swore the hand was Peter's. This obviously does not necessarily mean anything. For the most part, they are just friends. But interesting.
