Cardi B Reveals Pregnancy of Second Child at BET Awards

Cardi B and Offset (open in new tab) are expecting their second child! Cardi revealed her pregnancy at the "Year of the Black Woman" themed BET Awards on Sunday, where she performed "Type Shit" on stage with Migos. Stylist Colin Carter revealed on Instagram (opens in new tab) that she wore a custom-made black bijoux bodysuit by Dolce & Gabbana that perfectly framed her pregnancy bump. Cardi also shared a stunning pregnancy portrait on Instagram (opens in new tab) of herself posing nude with her breasts and bump covered in white paint." #2!" she captioned it and tagged her husband Offset.

Cardi knows how to announce a pregnancy: she confirmed her first pregnancy with daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, who turns 3 next month, during a performance on Saturday Night Live (opens in new tab). She performed "Be Careful" in a custom-made white gown by Christian Siriano, and as the camera zoomed out, her pregnant bump was revealed.

In addition to the pregnancy reveal, Cardi added two more trophies to her collection at the BET Awards, as reported by Vulture (opens in new tab). Her record-breaking single "WAP," featuring Meghan C. Stallion, won for Best Collaboration and Best Video of the Year. Meghan also won awards for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist and Viewer's Choice for "Savage (Remix)" with Beyonce.

In her 2020 Billboard Woman of the Year interview (opens in new tab), Cardi discussed her collaboration with Meghan and her desire to uplift other women in the industry." When female artists are on the rise, there is no need to put one down just because another artist is on the rise. Every time a female rapper comes out, people want to start fake beefing.

"In 'WAP,' I was hoping to make the top 20. But it sold more than I thought it would. I was crying. When I heard Megan's verse, I was like, 'Oh, shit. It's so much better. Woo! '" Cardi continued. When I linked up with Megan and we were going to send her the song, I thought, 'This has to be the song. No other song makes sense to feature her. This girl is freaky and cute, she's bound to be a keeper,' and that's exactly what happened."[9
