Courteney Cox "hurt" that she was the only "Friends" star not nominated for an Emmy.

Of the six actors who played major cast members in "Friends," only Courteney Cox was not nominated for an Emmy. Along with co-stars Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow, who won Emmys for their roles in "Friends," Cox said, "It always hurts."

Along with Aniston and Kudrow's wins, Matt LeBlanc received three Emmy nominations, while David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry both received one. Metro reports (opens in new tab) that Cox said, "It definitely hurt when the whole cast was nominated except for me." I was happy for everyone, but when they finally said, "Oh, it's just me?" I was hurt when that happened. It hurt.

"Sometimes I just want to be a part of certain things," she continued, referring to Kudrow and Aniston.

"All of the girls on this show, and all of the guys, they all deserve [nominations]. I am in awe of the talent of both of you."

Cox added that her 2010 Golden Globe nomination for "Cougar Town" helped ease her disappointment." The only thing that made me feel good was that we all won awards and got a lot of accolades. ' she said. I'd like to say.

"I wanted to be respected by my peers, and I know that the Golden Globes are not necessarily my peers. It was like that," Cox explained.
