Salma Hayek's owl once made a hairball on Harry Styles' head.

This is a story I never thought I would write, but am very glad I did: Salma Hayek's pet owl, Kelling, once had an unfortunate encounter with Harry Styles. Hayek told this story on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" (open in new tab)!

"There's a ball of hair coming out of their mouths," Hayek recalled.

"One time there was a very important celebrity, I won't say his name, but he was very excited about owls, and he said, 'I need an owl in my life.' I need an owl in my life. How do you do that?

"At the moment he least expected it, it came on his head, and he did one thing and this ball of rat hair came out and landed on his head," she said. Hayek then identified the celebrity in question as Stiles, saying, "He was super cool. He was super cool about all that stuff."

Hayek told DeGeneres that Kelling would be an adorable evening companion, making her 100% sure that what was really missing in my life was an owl. 'We only sleep together when my husband is out of town. My husband won't let me do that. He puts up with a lot, but of course I won't sleep in a room with an owl. So when my husband is out of town, the owl sleeps with me. When I go to bed, the owl hops around the room."

"She used to come and snuggle. Sometimes she comes over my head in the middle of the night. It's a little startling, but I'm used to it," Hayek continued.

"The worst part is when her feet come out of the sheets, she thinks my toes are rats and she flies up and grabs them. That was really frightening."
