Prince Harry's HRH title removed from Princess Diana exhibit at Kensington Palace
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal exit (opens in new tab) has sent shockwaves through royal exhibits.
According to a report in Us Weekly (opens in new tab), Harry's "HRH" title was recently removed from the Kensington Palace exhibit of Harry's late mother, Princess Diana's 1981 wedding dress (opens in new tab).
Apparently, when the exhibit first opened, it was marked "On loan by His Royal Highness the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex" to clarify that Princess Diana's sons, Prince William and Prince Harry (opens in new tab), had provided this historic dress for public viewing A placard describing the exhibit was apparently present. [However, that placard has since been updated, and as of June 10, it now reads "Lent by HRH The Duke of Cambridge and The Duke of Sussex."
Because after Harry and Meghan left the royal family (open in new tab), the couple agreed not to use the royal title anymore.
The Royal Collection Trust explained the error in a statement (opens in new tab), saying, "Due to an administrative error for which the Royal Collection Trust is responsible, the label was incorrect and is being updated."
