Katie Holmes and Emilio Vitolo (open in new tab) may have ended their romantic relationship, but it is clear they are still on good terms. On Tuesday, Holmes celebrated the premiere of his short film "Almost a Year" at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival in an Instagram post. Holmes served as producer on the film, which stars Eve Lindley and Mitzi Akach and was directed by Jamieson Baker.

"Very excited about today's opening of the @tribecafilmfestival !!!! I am so honored to be a part of the production of ALMOST A YEAR, which premieres at Tribeca 2021," Holmes wrote, listing stills from the film and behind-the-scenes shots. Congratulations to our very talented and amazing cast, @eveclindley, @emiliovitolo, @lilmitz_, and director @jamiesonbaker." Vitolo responded in the comments, posting a series of heart-eye emojis.

Holmes and Vitolo were first photographed together in September 2020 and quickly became close friends. However, they separated earlier this year, and Holmes' publicist told Us Weekly (opens in new tab), "They parted amicably but remain friends."

"Their relationship has fizzled out. They decided they were better off as friends. There is no breakup drama, in fact, they are still friends," an inside source told the magazine. 'Katie and Emilio really enjoyed their time together. She is focused on being a mother and her upcoming projects."
