Little Lilibet came face to face with her own name! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry called the Queen as soon as they got home from the hospital to introduce her to their newly arrived daughter, People magazine reports (opens in new tab). A source told the magazine that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were "very excited and couldn't wait to share that their daughter had arrived."

The Sussexes and the Queen have kept in close contact via Zoom, which Prince Harry revealed during an appearance on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" (opens in new tab) in February. Before Prince Philip passed away, Harry said, "Both of my grandparents do Zoom," adding, "They have seen Archie running around."

Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor (opens in new tab), younger sibling of 2-year-old Archie Harrison, arrived Friday, June 4, and the Sussexes published the happy news the following Sunday. A statement posted on the Archewell website explains the thoughtful tribute to Lili's name (opens in new tab): "The name Lili was named after my great-grandmother, Her Majesty the Queen. The middle name Diana was chosen to honor her beloved late grandmother, the Princess of Wales"

.

Meghan and Harry also shared their own personal message about baby Lili's arrival. On June 4, we were blessed with the birth of our daughter Lili. She is more than we could have ever imagined and we are so grateful for all the love and prayers we have received from all over the world. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family."
