The actress' Valentino look boasted a sequined bandeau and high-waisted ballgown skirt. Her hair was casually parted in the middle and accessorized with Cartier jewelry, champagne-colored platforms by Sofia Webster (opens in new tab), and of course, her husband Marcus Mumford.

Mulligan is a frontrunner for the 2021 Oscar for her portrayal of Kathy Thomas in Emerald Fennell's (opens in new tab) acclaimed film Promising Young Woman. And if she wins, she will be one of many, from Emma Stone to Meryl Streep, who have worn gold on the big stage. I don't think it's a "coincidence".
