Prince Harry reportedly "froze" by some relatives

There appears to be hope of reconciliation between Prince Harry and Prince William (opens in new tab). According to the Daily Mail (opens in new tab), Harry has faced "major chilling" from the royal family since his return to the UK after the Oprah interview, with Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Prince Edward's wife Sophie recognizing Harry before and during Prince Philip's funeral He claims that they did not.

"There is a deep sense of protectiveness toward the Queen and resentment toward Harry," says one source. After what he and Meghan said on Oprah, there is little sympathy for him."

Recall that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spoke on Oprah about their reasons for stepping down as senior royals and were particularly candid about the bullying, mental health struggles, and racism that Meghan experienced (opens in new tab). Harry also touched on his strained relationship with Prince Charles and Prince William.

The royal family has not taken much responsibility for the claims made by Harry and Meghan in the interview, with one source saying, "They [the royal family] are still very upset. They are united in their commitment to the queen. They all think he behaved badly."

The good news is that the brothers appear to be moving toward reconciliation, and Harry may even change the date of his return to Los Angeles to stay for Queen Elizabeth's next birthday (open in new tab). A source told The Sun (opens in new tab), "It's still early days, but you would hope that this is exactly the first step that Philip would want to take," and although "we don't know what was said behind closed doors and when the cameras were turned off," "while the cameras were rolling Harry and William appeared to be on good terms, and that seemed to pave the way for Charles to join them after everyone left."
