Meghan Markle reportedly conveyed her condolences to Her Royal Highness Prince Philip to the Queen.
Meghan Markle will not attend Prince Philip's funeral in the U.K. because her doctors have advised her to stay home, but she has expressed her condolences to the Queen. The source reiterated the latest news from Buckingham Palace that the Duchess of Sussex has been advised by her doctors not to travel, saying, "Meghan will stay in California. She cannot go on doctor's orders. Princess Meghan will stay in California.
The source also admitted that "Meghan and Harry have already spoken to the Queen to express their condolences." The couple also paid tribute to Philip via the Archewell website (opens in new tab), writing, "In memory of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh 1921-2021. Thank you for your public service ... We will miss you very much."

Harry will arrive in England on Sunday (open in new tab) and will be sequestered before his grandfather's funeral. This is the first time Harry has seen his family in over a year, and the first time they have been together since the Sussexes dropped the bombshell in an Oprah interview.
The Palace confirmed that Prince Philip's funeral "will not be open to the public and will be significantly reduced in size," but People (opens in new tab) reported that Prince Philip's coffin will be processed at Windsor Castle and that the funeral will be broadcast live at 3:00 PM UK time.
A Palace spokesman said, "While this is understandably a time of grief and mourning for many who knew and loved the Royal Family and the Duke of Edinburgh, it is hoped that the days ahead will also be an occasion to celebrate a remarkable life: an opportunity to celebrate the enormous contribution and enduring legacy of the Duke of Edinburgh. I hope that the days ahead will also be an occasion to celebrate a remarkable life.
