My selfless friend Meghan Markle lives her life and leads by example with empathy and compassion. She teaches me daily what it means to be truly virtuous. Her words speak volumes about the pain and cruelty she has experienced.

I know firsthand the sexism and racism that organizations and media use to vilify women and people of color, to minimize us, to disintegrate us, to demonize us. We must recognize our obligation to critique malicious and unfounded gossip and tabloid journalism. The mental health consequences of systemic oppression and victimization are devastating, isolating, and often fatal.

I want Princess Meghan's daughter, my daughter, and yours to live in a respectful society.

Keep in mind that the fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, tolerance, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. For such things there is no law.
