Angelina Jolie Sells Painting Gifted by Brad Pitt for $11.5 Million

[Angelina Jolie (opens in new tab) sold a painting given to her by Brad Pitt (opens in new tab) for more than $11 million.According to People (opens in new tab), the painting in question, Winston Churchill's "Tower of Koutoubia Mosque, which the Jolie Family Collection sold for $11.5 million at a London art auction this past Monday.

The painting was originally a gift from Churchill to Franklin D. Roosevelt and last sold at auction in 2011 for $2.95 million.Page Six" ( opens in new tab), the buyer was Brad Pitt, who gifted the painting to Angie. In other words... Making over $8 million from a gift given by an ex is impressive, to say the least.
