Kim Kardashian officially filed for divorce from Kanye West (open in new tab) on Friday after nearly seven years of marriage. Kim Kardashian and her husband are said to be moving quickly on divorce settlement and negotiating a custody plan.
But what is Kim really up to?
"Kim is with her family today," a source close to Reality Start told People (opens in new tab). 'She's doing okay. She's sad, but ready to move on."
"Kim has been very supportive of her family.
Rumors that Kim and Kanye (open in new tab) are headed for divorce have been circulating for some time now, of course, but apparently there was at least some truth to those rumors.
Kardashian sources explained that Kim had been contemplating ending the marriage for a long time, but she really, really did not want to take that step.
"Their marriage had been broken for a long time. Kim believes she did everything she could to save her marriage. Filing for divorce is something she has thought about for a long time. She also fears it. She has really done everything she can to keep the divorce papers from being filed," the source said. 'Last year she hoped somehow things would work out. But in the last few weeks, it is clear that they are over. There is still love, but they are too different and have different visions for the future."
This is not the first time we've heard this kind of claim about Kim and Kanye's marriage (opens in new tab); People's source's comments echo a December source who told Entertainment (opens in new tab)Tonight (opens in new tab) echoing comments made by a source who told Entertainment (opens in new tab)Tonight (opens in new tab) in December.
"Kim is exhausted from the constant trial and error, but she keeps their vows in mind when making the right decisions. And Kanye is working on his psychological health and mental state," the source explained." The family and Kanye are still in touch and everyone wants what is best for Kanye, Kim, the children, and the rest of the family."
