Princess Diana once called Bill Clinton "the sexiest man alive."
There is a surprising episode about Princess Diana: according to investor Warren Buffett, in the 1990s, Princess Diana had feelings for then-President Bill Clinton. According to investor Warren Buffett, Princess Diana spoke to him at a party in 1997 and branded Clinton "the sexiest man alive."
As reported by People (opens in new tab), Buffett discussed Diana's big reveal in a recently revived 2012 interview with CNBC (opens in new tab). The investor said he had met Princess Diana twice, both times at the home of Katharine Graham, former publisher of The Washington Post.
"I was once in a room alone with Princess Di at a party. Somehow we found ourselves in this library, and I don't think I could stand it in 15 minutes," Buffett said. 'I couldn't remember my name, I couldn't think of what to say.'
At the second party, held "just a few moments before" Diana's death in a car accident in August 1997, Buffett sat across the table from the royal family. Buffett recalled, "She was at the White House that day and said Bill Clinton was the sexiest man alive." 'She was at the White House that day and said Bill Clinton was the least sexy man alive. I thought I might get my act together."
"I was like, 'I'm not going to let that happen,'" Buffett said.
As reported by People, Diana was a friend of Bill and Hillary Clinton, meeting with them many times during the former's presidency. After Diana's death, the President issued a statement saying, "Hillary and I knew Princess Diana. We are deeply saddened by this tragic event. Our thoughts and prayers are with Princess Diana's family, friends, and especially her children tonight." Hillary Clinton later attended Diana's funeral in September 1997.
